Homemade Blueberry Buttermilk Pancakes
When you've got the time, it's important to prepare and cook a hearty breakfast for you and the family. That includes eggs, bacon, sausage and of course…pancakes. Plain pancakes are always safe, but aren't they so much better with some of your favorite ingredients? Add blueberries to these buttermilk pancakes to take an already great breakfast treat to a whole other level. Learn how to make them below, thanks to KitchenBowl user anniew.
Ingredients:
Step 1: Prep Flour
Combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large mixing bowl.
Step 2: Buttermilk/Egg Mixture
In another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and eggs.
Step 3: Combine Mixtures
Pour the buttermilk/egg mixture into the flour and mix until well combined.
Step 4: Add Blueberries & Basil
Throw in the blueberries and stir.
Do the same with the basil.
Step 5: Make Pancakes
Heat a griddle with a tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium heat. Pour in 1/3 cup of batter for each pancake into the griddle. Cook for 2 minutes on each side (4 minutes total).
Top with more blueberries, confectioners sugar, and maple syrup.
