A Simple Stir Fry Tofu To Feel Really Good About
On its own, tofu is undoubtedly flavorless. It’s all about the ingredients that you cook it in that give it flavor, so it’s important to get the right things together in the kitchen. If sweet and spicy sounds like your type of dish, we’ve got a wonderfully easy stir fry tofu dish for you to try out, cooked in holy basil, oyster sauce, red chilis and more. Check out the vegeterian treat below.
Ingredients:
Step 1: Prepare Tofu & Basil
Break the tofu up into small bits.
Use a knife to slice the basil leaves into very thin slices.
Step 2: Crush Up Garlic & Chillies
In a mortar, smash your garlic and chillies with a pestle. If you don’t have a mortar, use a knife to finely chop them.
Step 3: Cook Tofu
Grab a frying pan, throw in the coconut oil and cook the mashed garlic and chilies. Stir and cook until you can smell the fragrance.
Add the tofu into the pan along with a sprinkle of white pepper. Stir it and cook on high heat for 3 to 4 minutes.
Finish off by throwing in the fish sauce, oyster sauce, soya sauce and mix it all up. When the pan is getting dry-ish, add the basil leaves and combine.
Step 4: Enjoy!
Divide the tofu onto several romaine leaves and serve.
