Chili Lime Grilled Cauliflower Steaks | Homemade Recipes
It’s sad that cauliflower doesn’t get the love it deserves. Overshadowed by it’s older brother broccoli, cauliflower rarely gets put into dietary rotations, but that’s something we want stopped. Not only is cauliflower rich with nutrients, it can also make for a satisfying and filling meal with the right ingredients. Best served over a bed of warm quinoa or brown rice, we have a recipe for grilled cauliflower steaks smothered in chili and lime that you’ll absolutely love. Just fire up the grill and you can prepare this vegetarian dish in no time.
Ingredients:
Step 1: Cut Cauliflower
Use a sharp knife to cut the head of the cauliflower lengthwise.
Step 2: Add Lime & Pepper
Spray each side of the cauliflower pieces with coconut oil. Squeeze lime juice on them and then add the cayenne, salt and pepper.
Step 3: Grill ‘Em All
Throw all of the cauliflower pieces on a grill for 5 minutes. After that lower the heat, cover the grill and cook for another 5 minutes. Next, open the grill, flip the cauliflower, and cook for another 10 minutes. Finally, turn off the heat and cover for 5 minutes.
Step 4: Plate
Serve the cauliflower steaks with quinoa or brown rice.
