No-Bake Homemade Mac And Cheese Recipe For Gamers

April 20, 2020 By Hadley Maxwell 1 Comment

Craving for some mac and cheese while playing your favorite games? Here’s an easy and hassle-free recipe anyone at home can prepare — no oven needed. One comfort food a lot of people love is macaroni and cheese. It’s a simple pasta dish even inexperienced cooks can prepare. This easy recipe is as delicious as those you order in restaurants and fast food joints. In fact, this may be even better!

Homemade Mac and Cheese the Easiest Way

Ingredients:

To whip up your own no-bake homemade macaroni and cheese, you will need the following:

  • 2 cups of elbow macaroni noodles
  • 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsps of all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • pepper
  • salt
  • parsley flakes

Step 1: Cook the elbow macaroni noodles

Set the stove to medium-high heat then boil water in a medium-sized pan.

Add 2 cups of elbow macaroni noodles. Cook in medium heat until firm to the bite. Place the noodles in a strainer and strain the water off then set aside.

Step 2: Prepare the milk and flour mixture

In a small bowl, add 2 tablespoons of all-purpose flour.

Step 3: Add the milk

Pour 1/2 cup of milk into the bowl of all-purpose flour. Whisk until they are mixed. As much as possible, don’t leave chunks of flour and milk in the mixture.

Step 4: Cook the sauce

Get a saucepan and pour 1 cup of milk on it (don’t use the milk and flour mixture you prepared earlier). Turn the heat to medium and stir continuously.

It’s now time to add the milk and flour mixture. Reduce the heat to low and keep on stirring until it becomes thick and smooth. Next, turn the heat off then add 1 1/2 cups of shredded cheese. Mix well until it is creamy and gooey.

Step 5: Add the elbow macaroni noodles

|

Once the sauce is ready, pour in the cooked elbow macaroni noodles. Mix until the noodles are well-coated.

Step 6: Season with salt and pepper

|

Season your mac and cheese with salt and some freshly ground black pepper. Mix well.

You can garnish your macaroni and cheese with parsley flakes or any other herbs for additional flavor. Enjoy this cheesy, gooey mac and cheese for a more fun and satisfying game day!
