A breakfast casserole is a fantastic way to get your morning started.

However, a lot of people avoid it or forget about it, thinking that fried eggs is an easier option. Making casseroles does not have to be difficult. In fact, here is one homemade breakfast casserole recipe that will prove how easy and fast it is to prepare a breakfast casserole.

Recipe For Breakfast Casserole

You Will Need:

1 pound of sliced bacon (diced)

1 can of sliced mushrooms

2 packages of dried beef (sliced into thin strips)

1/8 teaspoon of pepper

½ cup of all-purpose flour

16 pieces of eggs

4 cups of milk

¼ teaspoon of salt

1 cup of evaporated milk

¼ teaspoon of salt

¼ cup of butter (cubed)

fresh parsley (chopped)

Procedure:

Step 1.

Fry the bacon in a large skillet until it becomes crispy. Place the bacon in a paper towel to drain its oil. Discard all drippings but get at least ¼ cup.

Step 2.

Using the same skillet with the remaining drippings, fry the flour, pepper, mushrooms and beef. Cook the ingredients until it is well combined. Add milk slowly. Stir the mixture as you do so. Add in the bacon and set the skillet aside.

Step 3.

Whisk evaporated milk and eggs in a large bowl. Add salt to taste. Get a separate skillet and melt the butter. Continue cooking until it is hot. Transfer the egg mixture to the said skillet and cook the eggs over medium high heat until it is completely cooked.

Step 4.

Slice the egg into half and place the other half into a baking dish. Pour your sauce over the slice of the egg. Put the other half of egg on top and pour another layer of sauce into it. Cover the dish and bake it at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 55- 65 minutes. If you stick a knife into the egg and it comes out clean, it means that is already ready by then.
