This appletini recipe is a perfect summer drink for your next party because sometimes you just need some booze to cool off.
How to Make the Best Appletini You’ll Ever Taste
What You Need:
Step 1: Chill Your Martini Glass
Add some ice in your martini glass to get it nice and cold. Another way to chill your martini glass is to place it in the freezer and take it out once you make your appletini.
Step 2: Toss Ingredients in the Shaker
Open your cocktail shaker and toss the vodka, lemon juice, apple liqueur, sugar syrup, and apple juice inside.
Tip: Measure your ingredients ahead of time so you can just toss in your ingredients and go.
Step 3: Fill with Ice
Fill your martini glass with ice. You want this drink to be really cold.
Don’t put too much ice. Otherwise, you won’t be able to shake your drink properly.
Step 4: Shake, Shake, Shake
Shake your cocktail shaker for 12 seconds, or until the contents are chilled. When your shaker becomes frosted on the outside, you’re done.
Here are some reasons why you shake a martini:
- Shaking mixes your ingredients and creates the desired flavor profile.
- It chills your drink (nobody likes a warm martini).
- Dilutes your drink and makes the flavor less intense.
Step 4: Double Strain the Liquid
Once your appletini’s nice and chilled, remove the ice in your martini glass and pour the contents of the shaker through a strainer. Straining filters out any solid shards of ice or fruit pulp that may remain in your appletini.
Tip: If you prefer your appletini “on the rocks”, leave some ice in your glass first before straining.
Step 5: Add the Garnish
Add an apple slice on top to finish it all off, and you’re done.
