Pulled Chicken Burger Recipe | Homemade Recipes
One of the best things about making homemade burgers is that you can add anything you want to them: everything from bacon and eggs to peanut butter and Sriracha are all fair game. Most burgers end up being borderline unhealthy, but that doesn’t always have to be the case. If you want to a unique burger but don’t want all the calories that come along with it, check out this pulled chicken burger recipe. Stuffed with spinach, cabbage and sprouts, you’ll feel great after the first bite.
Ingredients:
Step 1: Boil Chicken Breast
Place the chicken breast in a pot with enough water to cover it and then bring it to a boil over medium/high heat. Reduce the heat, cover the pot and let the chicken cook until it is no longer pink (which can take between 10 to 20 minutes).
Step 2: Shred Chicken
Use 2 forks to shred the chicken into small pieces on a plate.
Step 3: BBQ Sauce
Add BBQ sauce to the shredded chicken and combine.
Step 4: Assemble Burger
Slice the burger bun in half. On the bottom bun, add the BBQ pulled chicken, then the baby spinach, red cabbage and sunflower sprouts above.
Finish the burger off with the top bun and enjoy.
