Baked Macaroni and Cheese Recipe

Let's get started!

Ingredients:

1 package of elbow macaroni

2 tablespoons of flour

2 tablespoons of butter

½ teaspoon of salt

2 cups of milk

¼ teaspoon of ground red pepper

½ teaspoon of ground black pepper

1 block of Cheddar Cheese

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1.

Take a look at the packaging of the elbow macaroni and cook the pasta according to the instructions.

Step 2.

Place a sauce pan over medium heat. Put the block of butter and melt it. Add in the flour and whisk until it becomes smooth. Cook while whisking from time to time. Do this for two minutes. Add in the milk gradually. Cook for 5 minutes, with constant whisking. The mixture must thicken. Remove the pan from the stove.

Step 3.

Add in the red and black pepper into the pan. Add a cup of shredded cheddar cheese and the cooked macaroni. Mix everything properly but gently.

Step 4.

Lightly grease your baking dish. Once the mixture is mixed thoroughly, spoon the pasta into the dish. Place the remaining amount of cheddar cheese on top of the pasta mixture.

Step 5.

Bake the pasta mixture at 400 degrees. Bake for 20 minutes or until the pasta mixture becomes bubbly. Take the dish off from the oven. Set it aside and allow it to stand for about 10 minutes.

Step 6.

Serve this warm. It is recommended that you serve this as a side dish, compliment it with some garlic bread, or whatever you wish!
