Homemade Apple Cider Recipe

When it comes to apple cider, homemade is always better. Of course, buying apple cider in the store is and always will be quite tempting. Why not? It’s easier and it tastes delicious, but rest assured, nothing can be more satisfying than having a taste of a cider made at home.

Homemade Apple Cider Recipe

When you take a look at the recipe I am about to share to you, you will be amazed at how easy making apple cider can be. In fact, you may even think to yourself, “Why have I not done this before?” Well, we are now giving you a chance. Give this homemade apple cider a chance. We promise you’ll love it!

You Will Need:

  • 6 pieces of medium sized apple
  • ½ tablespoon of fresh vanilla beans
  • 2 pieces of orange slice
  • 6 cups of water
  • 1 piece of cinnamon stick
  • 1/3 cup of maple syrup
  • 1 piece of star anise

Procedure:

Step 1.

Wash the apples thoroughly and slice it into quarters.

Step 2.

Place the apple slices into a pot then pour about 6-7 cups of water into it. Start heating the mixture.

Step 3.

After a short while, get the cinnamon stick and throw it into the mix.

Step 4.

Get half of the required vanilla bean, sweetener of your choice and the orange peel slices.

Step 5.

Continue cooking the mixture for about two and a half hours.

Step 6.

Once the mixture is already cooked, remove the pot from the heat and set it aside. Allow the mixture to cook for sometime.

Step 7.

Once the mixture is already cooked, get your potato masher and and use it in the apples in the pot. This is the step when you will release the flavors from the apple.

Step 8.

Pour the contents of the spot through the strainer in order to remove the remaining apple pulp.

Step 9.

Serve it warm alone or top it with caramel sauce and coconut whipped cream for a lovely night. If you will have any leftover cider, you can place it in jars and refrigerate it for about five days to a week.
