Fathers don’t ask for much yet they give so much to their children. Always there ready to give advice, protection, and be a cheerleader in all we do in life. Father’s Day may be right around the corner but we’ve got a few breakfast recipes to help you celebrate the day with Dad.

Spoil Dad in the Best Way This Father’s Day

1. Glazed Blueberry Rolls

|

Give Dad a delicious treat to go alongside his morning coffee for Father’s Day breakfast with these glazed blueberry rolls. We love cinnamon rolls as much as the next person but make it extra special with this unique recipe.

The best part is that you can prepare it the night before, chill them in the fridge, and put them in the oven right before Dad wakes up. Just make sure to let them come up to room temperature for about an hour before baking.

2. Cheddar Bacon Waffles

Who doesn’t love bacon recipes? And whose dad doesn’t love bacon? This one is great if you’ve got a waffle iron handy and is totally kid-friendly.

Just make sure they know how to use it properly and if not, you can always supervise and help out. All you need to do is cook up some bacon, cut it up and add to the waffle batter before adding it to the waffle iron.

We’re sure Dad will love the bacon surprise with his waffles. Add some eggs on the side and he’s got a complete meal for Father’s Day breakfast.

3. Chicken and Corn Bread Pancakes With Spicy Syrup

|

We all know chicken & waffles is a classic combination. But what about chicken and cornbread? This recipe from Country Living takes the best of a dinner staple and transforms it into a delicious breakfast counterpart. There’s much to be said about this mouthwatering combination of crispy fried chicken and sweet cornbread pancakes.

To keep your fried chicken crispy, try cooling it on a rack rather than paper towels. This allows air circulate around the chicken and prevents from steam building up which softens the crispy skin. Also, the spicy syrup adds an interesting element of spice to this dish but you can omit the hot sauce if you like.

4. Country Ham French Toast

French toast is a great breakfast staple but let’s up the ante with some country ham. The savory ham is a welcome addition with the sweet maple syrup and is a great addition to any Father’s Day breakfast menu.

We suggest going for Texas toast bread if they have it at your grocery store for maximum thickness to soak up all the milk and egg custard.

5. Sunny-Side-Up Pizza

|

It’s not every day that you get to eat pizza for breakfast. So why not give Dad that tasty privilege for Father’s Day breakfast? Feel free to substitute in other breakfast staples as toppings like bacon, sausage, or anything else you think Dad would love on his pizza.

Before anything, make sure to preheat your oven to 450°F as you want it to nice and hot when it’s time to bake your pizza off. Also, if you have some at home, make sure to sprinkle a little cornmeal or semolina flour on your pan before placing your dough on it. It helps give the crust a crunchy exterior and reduces the chance of it sticking.

6. PB-And-J Bread Pudding

|

Bread pudding is one of those desserts that just doesn’t get a lot of love. Why not shift gears a bit on a classic recipe with this one from Woman’s Day? Plus points for you if Dad is a PB & J fan because this one will surely be a bit with him!

We love the mix of textures with this dish alongside the classic PB & J flavors. Don’t forget to top with crushed peanuts before serving for that extra crunch and peanut flavor!

7. Cheesy Bacon Breakfast Burritos

|

Breakfast burritos are lifesavers. Whether as a hangover cure or a midnight snack, they’re always there when you need them. But that doesn’t always mean they’re made properly. For one, make sure there’s a potato component as all great breakfast burritos have them.

Also, when assembling your burritos, always use warm tortillas. It’ll make things much easier and less likely to break or tear when wrapping. Follow some of these tips and this recipe from Delish to make sure this one is a smashing success for Father’s Day breakfast.

Even though this recipe is already delicious as is, you can totally add in chopped bacon or some breakfast potatoes to really push the breakfast aspect of this dish.

|

Yes, maple bacon donuts, 3 words you don’t usually see in the same sentence. Instead of making a drive to the donut shop for Dad, save yourself the trip by making these outrageous donuts. The secret ingredient in these donuts? Candied bacon.
