Red wine tends to get a bad rap sometimes, but it really depends on your palate and the type of wine you might have tried. We have some information that might let you see this wine in a different light!

1. It is Healthy

I’m sure you’ve heard people saying that red wine is good for heart health; this is indeed true. However, remember that with everything in life, moderation is key. The health benefits are as a result of the tannins found in the wine. So certain types of wine (the ones with more tannins) will yield better health results. It also contains antioxidants that have been found to lower incidences of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease. If consumed in small doses.

2. It Can be Sweet Too

Most people who don't like red wine haven't really sampled the variety of options that are out there. If you prefer sweet wine there are plenty of red sweet wines that you can try, like this Pollo Greek from Estate Bottle.

3. It Pairs Well with Beef

If you're making a hearty beef dish then a tall glass of red is the perfect complement for this meal. Try something like a Bordeax, Merlot or Cabernet Savignon.

4. It is made from dark grapes

The wine gets its deep dark reddish color due to the type of grapes used to make it. The color actually comes from the anthocyan pigments which are actually in the skin of the dark grapes. Both the flavor and color are extracted from grape skins.

5. The color Changes with age

As the years go by the color of this type of wine starts to fade to a lighter shade of red. So if you see a really pale red wine it is probably very aged.
