How To Make Rainbow Vodka
Step 1: Prepare The Skittles
Start by simply separating your Skittles according to color or flavor. Place each color into a mason jar. You may want 65-75 pieces each flavor, depending on how you want your rainbow vodka to taste.
Step 2: Add Vodka
Now add the vodka. You can add as much vodka to taste. Make sure the jar is not completely filled and there’s still room for shaking. Do this for each jar and secure the lid.
Step 3: Shake Them Up
All five jars will have a stock of Skittles soaking in vodka. Give each jar a good shake. You’ll see that the Skittles coating will start to bleed and add color to the vodka.
Step 4: Steep
After giving your mixture a good shake, you’ll notice the white candy still needs some time to dissolve. Leave your mixture for 24 hours. Shaking the jars every after few hours will helps the candy dissolve quickly.
Step 5: Strain
After 24 hours of steeping and when your candy is completely dissolved, use the coffee filter and funnel to strain the mixture. Strain all colors separately.
Step 6: Chill And Serve
Once you’re all done with straining, place jars in the freezer for a few hours. Come party time, your vodka is ready!
