You may think this fancy drink is quite a difficult drink to make. On the contrary, this drink can be made right in the comforts of your own home. Today, there are may types of mulled wine recipe that you can try.
If you wish to try a classic mulled wine recipe, here is one homemade recipe that you must try.
You Will Need:
10 whole cloves
¼ cup of caster sugar
2 cinnamon sticks
1 piece of nutmeg (roughly grated)
2 cups of water
rind from 1 orange (grated)
750 ml bottle of a fruity red wine
1 apple with skin on (roughly chopped)
Get a large saucepan. Place the following ingredients on it: water, rind from orange, apple, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Place the pan on top of medium heat.
Allow the mixture to come to a boil. Reduce the heat to low setting and allow to simmer for about 10 minutes.
Pour in the red wine then allow the new mixture to simmer for five minutes more. Remove the pan from heat. Strain the liquid to make sure that no pieces of the spices remain.
Pour the drink into serving glasses.
Serve the drinks right away.
This recipe will take about 5 seconds to prepare and 20 minutes to cook. Since it contains only eight ingredients, it is quite easy to make. The recipe given above will yield about four servings. In the event that you would want to create more, just adjust the amount of ingredients accordingly.
