Homemade Pound Cake Recipe
You Will need:
- 3 cups of cake flour
- 1 pound of butter
- 6 pieces of large-sized eggs
- 1 pound of sugar
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
½ teaspoon of baking soda - ½ cup of buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Procedure:
Step 1.
Sift the baking soda, flour and baking powder into a big mixing bowl.
Step 2.
Get a pan and place it over medium heat. Melt the butter in it and add the melted butter into the big mixing bowl. Add the eggs. Don't beat.
Tip: If the mixture is too thick, you can try adding buttermilk.
Step 3.

Step 4.
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 5.
Get your tube cake pan and oil it using butter. Add a bit of flour to the pan. If there are excess flour, shake the pan.
Step 6.
Pour the flour mixture and place it inside the oven and bake for about an hour and 20 minutes. Do the tooth pick test to make sure that the cake is properly baked.
Step 7.
Remove the pan from the oven and place it in a cooling rack for about ten to twenty minutes.
Step 8.
Place the cake in a decorative plate and serve it.
Step 9.
Dig in!
