Easy Homemade Crispy Kale Chips

They say that everyone should eat 6 times a day. This means that you must practice snacking every day if you wish to eat healthily. If you are thinking of what healthy foods to snack on, crispy kale chips are highly recommended. Here is one recipe that you should follow in creating your very own homemade crispy kale chips.

How to Make Homemade Crispy Kale Chips

You Will Need:

  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 1 medium bunch of kale
  • ¼ teaspoon of kosher salt

Procedure:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wash the kale leaves thoroughly and make sure that it is completely free of dust or any other insects. After washing the leaves, arrange it properly on a plate and allow it to dry properly.

With the use of either kitchen scissors or a paring knife, trim out the ribs of the leaves and discard it. Cut the remaining parts of the kale into about two inches.

Step 4.

Place all kale leaves into the bowl and pour some oil all over it. Toss the leaves gently and thoroughly to ensure that everything is coated well with olive oil.

Step 5.

Get a baking sheet and line it with parchment paper. You can also opt for a silicone baking mat. Lay the kale leaves properly on the sheet. Do one layer first and sprinkle it with salt. In the event that you plan on making many kale chips, you will have to cook the leaves batch by batch.

Step 6.

Bake the leaves for about 8 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Check the leaves when the timer hits 8 minutes so that you can avoid overcooking or burning it. The kale leaves must turn crispy but not burnt.

Step 7.

Remove the kale leaves from the oven. Place the baking sheet on a rack and allow it to cool down for about one to two minutes. Serve well.

For this recipe, you will not need any dip. If you wish to have one, you can choose just about any dip that you wish. Just make sure that the dip you choose is healthy too.
