Almond Chocolate Waffles | Homemade Recipes
Upgrading your waffles is as simple as adding a few ingredients to the batter. Using cocoa powder and almond extract, you can create these amazing almond chocolate waffles in just 20 minutes. Healthier than other types of waffles, you can enjoy these almond chocolate waffles without feeling guilty after.
Ingredients:
Step 1: Prep Batter
In a large bowl, mix your eggs until they begin to get bubbly, then add salt, baking soda, dutch cocoa powder and mix again until there are no lumps. Next, throw in the sugar, almond extract and coconut oil and mix. Finally, add the all purpose flour, coconut shreds, milk, chocolate syrup and combine the entire thing until it’s smooth.
Step 2: Whisk
Whisk the batter until it’s lump free. Also, preheat your waffle maker.
Step 3: Waffle Iron Time
Spread coconut oil on waffle iron and add your batter. Close the waffle iron and let it do it’s thing.
Step 4: Add Toppings & Serve
Once the first set of waffles are done, take them out and use the rest of the batter to make more.
Add coconut flakes, crushed almonds (raw) and chocolate for the topping. Fruit and powdered sugar are optional. Enjoy!
