Check out These Mother’s Day Breakfast Ideas!

1. Best-Ever Baileys Coffee Cake

Serve Mom the perfect cake to accompany her morning coffee and get her day started on the right foot. We love this recipe from Delish that uses sour cream for an extra bit of smoothness and a scrumptious crunchy finish from the toasted pecans.

2. Bacon, Egg And Cheese Toast Bowls

|

We love this recipe from the Food Network kitchen that converts a big breakfast into a much smaller package. If you want to make these for lunch, you can totally customize them by substituting in chopped ham and cheese or even chicken salad works wonders!

Toasts bowls are amazeballs and totally customizable making them a great menu option for this Mother’s Day breakfast.

3. Oatmeal Cream Pies

You’ve probably had hundreds of these as a kid but trust us, these aren’t your typical store-bought oatmeal cream pies. While a delicious, handheld oatmeal cream pie is the perfect treat, it’s a million times better when homemade.

We suggest making the cookies the day before and whipping up the cream filling right before serving for maximum freshness.

Pro-tip: A great recipe to have on hand as most of the ingredients are probably in your cupboard right now!

4. Classic Jelly Donuts

For Mother’s Day breakfast, skip making a trip to the local donut shop and go homemade instead with this great recipe from Good Housekeeping. A higher difficulty level recipe but totally worth the extra effort!

Besides using fruit jams for the filling, we’ve tried stuffing our donuts with Nutella and trust us when we say, our lives have been changed forever. Make breakfast for mom a total success with these delicious jelly donuts.

5. One-Pan Breakfast Potatoes

|

We totally love carbs first thing in the morning and if your Mom does too, she’ll probably love these one-pan breakfast potatoes for Mother’s Day breakfast! Again, just one pan needed, so less clean up and stress for you. Also, this recipe from Tasty got a 97% “would make again” rating, so we’re sure it’ll be a hit!

Pro-tip: We’ve tried adding items such as bacon and eggs for a heartier version of this and it’s just as good.

6. Egg, Avocado, And Cheddar Homemade Hot Pockets

|

At one point in our lives, all of us have experienced true pain and by that we mean burning your mouth from eating a Hot Pocket way too quickly. We totally get it. They’re so good but trust us, they’re even better when homemade. This recipe is a big time saver by using store-bought or refrigerated pie crust.

Ready to serve in under an hour and better than anything you’ll find in the frozen foods aisle.

7. Blueberry Scones With Lemon Glaze

No brunch menu set is complete without a delicious plate of scones, and maybe a couple of mimosas. This scone recipe from Tyler Florence is already good on its own but hits a whole new level of flavor with its creamy, tart lemon glaze.

8. Creme Brulee French Toast

|

French toast on its own is delicious but why not make it extra special for Mom by adding a creme brulee element to the mix? That said element is a delicious caramelized mixture of melted butter, brown sugar, and maple syrup underneath thick slices of challah bread.

You can make it the day before to let the bread fully soak all of the egg, cream and milk mix in the fridge overnight. Just pop it straight in the oven before serving the next morning. Don’t forget to serve it sugar side up and finish it with powdered sugar and sliced almonds if you’re feeling extra fancy.

9. Breakfast Stuffed Waffles

|

One of the easiest yet most unique breakfast in bed ideas we’ve come across for this Mother’s Day. This recipe from Damn Delicious turns biscuit dough into waffles that are stuffed with cheesy scrambled eggs.

Yes, read that again, we weren’t kidding and you’re welcome.

10. Hawaiian Mimosa

[instagram url=https://www.instagram.com/p/BhiJnLuB_xF/ hidecaption=true width=800]

Like we said earlier, nothing truly says brunch than a mimosa. One sip of this will let Mom feel like she’s been transported to the beach and the recipe couldn’t be any simpler. Just three ingredients: pineapple, rum, and champagne are all you’ll need for this Hawaiian Mimosa recipe from Crazy for Crust.

11. Strawberry Mango Mimosas

|

Smoothies in the morning are great and a little splash of champagne couldn’t hurt, right? These mimosas are delicious and super easy to make and you can even make these nonalcoholic by swapping the champagne for citrus soda.

12. Mint-Pesto Baked Eggs

|

Make Mother’s Day breakfast in bed just a bit more special with these mint-pesto baked eggs. You can prep these the night before in their individual ramekins and bake them off in the morning right before serving.

We’d suggest serving these with toast or a fresh baguette to complete the meal. Actually, do it, it’ll take this dish to a whole new level.

13. Asparagus And Bacon Make-Ahead Quiche

|

You know we couldn’t have this list without a proper quiche recipe and this one is a doozy. Fresh asparagus and salty cured bacon are a great combination in this tasty recipe from Good Housekeeping. Just as the name suggests, you can make this ahead of time and have it ready to serve as soon as Mom wakes up in the morning.

If you have time for three more, here are some easy but impressive Mother’s Day brunch recipes from The Domestic Geek:
