Easy & Creative Kitchen Pantry Ideas For You

Kitchen Pantry Ideas

Because your kitchen pantry is busy, it is for sure prone to a lot of mess. And while it’s easier to make a mess in the kitchen, you should also prioritize having an organized pantry. After all, you’re the one having to deal with cleaning it up, anyway.

When thinking of how to organize a food pantry, it is important to have the right mindset. You have to assess the current situation of your kitchen first and address what the problems are.

After you address the problem, it will be easier to zero in on the solution and cater your storage ideas to it. Keep in mind that you may have to throw out a lot of stuff in your pantry.

Take this quarantine period as an opportunity to do some pantry organization and give your kitchen a whole new look that is much cleaner, organized, and easier to navigate!

1. Clear Containers

Organizing your pantry is no small feat, no matter how small your kitchen pantry is.

Using clear containers is great in organizing the kitchen pantry as you can already see what’s inside and you don’t have to take them out of the shelves just to check their contents.

That way, you can also group similar kitchen items together and see them easily!

2. Group Same Kitchen Pantry Items Together

The easiest and best way to organize a pantry is to group your kitchen pantry items together. Of course, it doesn’t make sense to have different pantry items placed everywhere in your pantry.

Not only does it not make sense, but it’s such a hassle to find the right ingredient if you don’t even know which part of the pantry it’s placed in. Group your pantry items the right way and you’ll surely have a more organized space.

3. Label Everything

We can’t stress this enough. One trendy yet effective way to organizing a pantry is to label everything from containers to bins and shelves.

Once you’ve transferred your kitchen pantry items into clear containers, you can go ahead and label each container. Feel free to use a decal approach or channel your inner creativity and use freehand calligraphy with permanent pens!

4. Stack Cans on Their Sides

Another great tip on how to organize the kitchen pantry is by laying all your canned goods on their side and stacking them up that way, instead of stacking them standing up.

You can use wire bins or specialized canned goods storage bins that are available in the market. By storing your canned food this way, you are freeing up more space in your pantry shelves or cabinets.

5. Use Lazy Susans

Lazy Susans are a great start if you’re just joining the how-to-organize pantry group. These storage solution tools can be used for sauces or a variety of kitchen pantry items that you use daily, but have irregular shapes and sizes.

These space-saving tools are great because they allow you to bring forward items from your back shelf with ease.

6. Kitchen Pantry Door Racks

Another way of organizing pantry shelves and freeing them of the mess is to utilize the pantry door! You can place small packets and small plastic containers on your racks to avoid cluttering your shelves.

Adding a hanging door rack not only frees up space on your kitchen pantry shelf but also adds additional storage for your kitchen items. Talk about having a dual-purpose!

7. Maximize Shelf Space with Single Racks

Not a lot of people realize that they can add levels to their shelves. The moment they do, they always tell themselves, “Why haven’t I done this before?”

Using single racks on your shelves allows you to maximize the space above each shelf space. That area is often overlooked by most people, and that is what makes this kitchen organizing pantry hack such a genius idea.

You can use these single racks on kitchen cabinets where you put utensils and plates that you use on a daily basis, as pictured above.

8. Slide-Out Rack

Slide-out racks are probably one of the best pantry organization inventions ever created.

It uses a small space that everyone overlooks and doesn’t even consider and turns it into a whole new shelf tower where you can place most of your pantry ingredients.

Not only that, but it keeps your small pantry items hidden when it’s not needed which is genius!

You can purchase the right size for your kitchen and customize the number of shelves and the total height, according to your kitchen pantry needs.

Throwing out pantry items that you do not need is part of the first phase of pantry organization. But letting go of these items only means that you’re making space in your pantry. So, go out there and declutter your kitchen pantry!

I love this idea of the pantry, but my kitchen is small; how in the world I’m going to get this?

Of you already store these supplies in the kitchen then you have room. Take your time to get it how you like it. I kept any clear vessel I had and transferred accordingly.
