Homemade Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe

If there is one snack on earth that you could never say no to, it’s definitely a yummy chocolate chip cookie. Crispy on the outside, soft and ‘chocolicious’ on the inside, a bag of cookies can satisfy even the whole gang! A piece of a chocolate cookie never gets old.  It will always be our go-to food no matter how many years pass by.

Now, if you want to put your baking skills to good use, below is an easy way to make a traditional chocolate cookie—and yes, they’re not just convenient, but they’re very affordable and delicious!

Chocolicious Ingredients:

  • 1 ½ cups of all-purpose flour
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspo0n baking soda
  • 1/3 cup softened or melted butter
  • 1/3 cup of shortening
  • ½ cup of brown sugar
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 whole beaten egg
  • 6 0z of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Optional Ingredients:

  • Nuts
  • M & M’s
  • Oatmeal
  • Fruits/Raisins

*add ingredients to your own liking*

BAKING INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1.

Prepare the oven by pre-heating it to 375 degrees.

Step 2.

Mix the flour, baking soda and salt in a container. Then, set it aside.

Step 3.

In another bowl, mix in the butter, sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg. Continue mixing until you form a creamy substance.

Step 4.

Next, slowly add half of the dry mixture to the creamy mixture using a spatula. Once the dough gets thicker, add the remaining half of the dry mixture.

Step 5.

Afterwards, add the chocolate chips. You can also add any of your optional ingredients.

Step 6.

Create sets of spoon-sized dough out of the the mixture.

Step 7.

Position the dough in a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or butter. Make sure that the pieces of dough are two inches apart.

Step 8.

Bake for about 8 to 10 minutes.

Step 9.

Once you notice that the sides are already golden and crispy and the center is soft and chewy, remove the mixture from the oven.

Step 10.

Afterwards, set the baked dough aside for about 2 minutes to let it cool.

Step 11.

Then, place the cookies on a cooling rack and serve once ready.

Step 12.

Lastly, enjoy the crispylicious goodness of your yummy chocolate cookie!

So there you have it, an easy and cost-effective way to bake a mouth-watering chocolate cookie.
