Have you ever tried adding healthier food to your diet? According to a survey, 66% of Americans forget to incorporate real healthy foods into their meals. And the result? Lethargic work environments, laziness, unwanted big bellies and lack of energy. I know that this is a free country but isn't it time to make a change? It’s really not that hard you know, you just have to be aware of the things that can give you proper nutrition.

Being Healthy For A Change: Fulfilling Homemade Granola

Before going to work, I used to eat a heavy breakfast, you know the classic bacon and eggs plus a short stack of pancakes….and for a while it helped me out, but then I felt that something was still missing in my diet. It seemed that I didn't have enough energy for work. This is a big no no ‘cause I can’t afford to lose energy in the middle of the day. I called my mom and asked her for some great breakfast recipes and she said that I should try her homemade granola. After 2 weeks of granola madness, I did feel a change in my work stamina and since then I have never stopped eating it. I suggest that you try this too if you want to start living healthfully. It’s very simple!

You will need:

  • 4 cups old fashioned oats
  • 2 cups almonds, sliced
  • 3/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 a cup of honey (or agave)
  • 1 cup of roasted, unsalted cashews
  • 2 cups of your preferred dried fruit
  • 2 cups coconut, shredded and sweetened

Procedure:

Step 1.

Put the oats, coconut and almonds together in a large bowl.
