Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of pitted dates
  • ¼ cup of almond butter
  • ¼ cup of honey
  • 1 ½ cup of rolled oats
  • 1 cup of roasted almond, unsalted and chopped
  • add ons: dried fruits (any type), chocolate chips, banana chips, nuts and basically anything that you can think of.

Cooking Instructions:

Step 1.

Process the dates in a food processor for about a minute. The dates must have a dough-like consistency after the whole process.

Place the processed dates together with the oats and almonds in a big-sized serving bow; then set it aside.

Step 3.

Place a small-sized sauce pan over low heat. Place the honey and peanut butter in the pan to warm it up. Stir from time to time. Place the dates mixture in the pan and mix properly, ensuring that the dates is properly dispersed.

Step 4.

Line an 8 x 8 baking dish with parchment paper or a plastic wrap. After mixing thoroughly, transfer the entire mixture in the tray or dish.

Step 5.

Flatten the mixture into the dish. Place plastic wrap or parchment paper on top then refrigerate it for about fifteen to twenty minutes.

Step 6.

Remove the whole block from the dish and chop into ten smaller pieces. Store in an airtight jar.

If you wish to add a toasted flavor into your granola bar, you can try baking the oats in the oven at 350 degrees for about fifteen minutes.
