Halloween brings all of the ghosts, werewolves, witches, ghouls and goblins out to play, but even then they’re not the scariest things you’ll have to deal with.
No, that honor goes to unhealthy packaged candy.
Sure, it’s fine to indulge in them once in a while, but do you really want your kids stuffing their mouths with a whole pillowcase full of chocolate and sour candy for the days and weeks to come? If the answer is a resounding no, you need to definitely check out these 16 Halloween treats that are not only healthy, but also taste great.

1. Frozen “Boo”-nana Pops

Boo! These ghost-shaped, white chocolate covered frozen bananas not only look great, but are simple to make (two ingredients) and are a healthy alternative to candy on Halloween.

2. Cheese Witch’s Brooms

What’s Halloween without broomsticks? No, not the kind you use to clean your house, but the type that witches use to fly around! These broomstick treats are simply slices of cheese tied around a pretzel stick with some chive. It’s really that easy.

3. Carrot Rice Ball Mini- Jack O’ Lanterns

A jack o’ lantern made of rice? Just replace some of the water you’re cooking the rice in with some carrot juice to get the orange color and cut up some black olives and green peppers to complete the pumpkin look.

Who knew mummy’s could by so yummy?! Use wheat bread  as the backdrop to your masterpiece, along with pizza sauce to give a bloody effect, any type of white cheese for the bandages, and olives for the eyes. Toast for maximum deliciousness.
