Oktoberfest is this month. What better way to celebrate than enjoying a beer with an authentic German appetizer?
Beer Cheese Dip (Bierkäse)
1 cup pot cheese (cottage cheese) or ricotta
12 oz. cup Roquefort, Gorgonzola or bleu cheese
1/2 cup softened butter
Combine 1 cup pot cheese (cottage cheese) or ricotta, 1/2 cup Roquefort, Gorgonzola or bleu cheese, 1/2 cup softened butter and a dash of Worcestershire sauce in a medium bowl.
Stir to mix thoroughly.
Pack into a crock or bowl.
Chill 2 hours or overnight.
Serve with rye crackers, Scandinavian crisp bread, pumpernickel or pretzels
