If you’re tired of having to go to the store to purchase it, we’re here to teach you how to make your own homemade recipe thanks to Popsugar!
Ingredients:
- ½ lb. green jalapeños (stems removed)
- ¾ lb. red jalapeños (stems removed)

Step 2 – Blend Jalapeños
Put the red and green jalapeños in the mixer.
Step 3 – Cut Bell Peppers

Step 4 – Mix All The Ingredients
Mix all the remaining ingredients (garlic, sugar, etc) except for the white vinegar and xantham gum and blend.
Step 5 – Jar the Mixture
Put the mixture in a mason jar, store it loosely covered and let if ferment for about 5-7 days. Fermentation takes about 2 days to begin. When you see little bubbles forming around the rim then you know fermentation is starting. You’re going to stir the mixture completely once or twice a day then just leave it alone in room temperature.
Step 6 – Blend Again
After the fermentation, get the mixture and then add the white vinegar. Put it in a blender and blend it really fine.
Puree it as smooth as possible.
Step 7 – Strain Seeds
Strain out the seeds. Press throughout the solid to get the excess liquid and juice.
Step 8 – Add Xanthan Gum
Lastly, blend the liquid with the xanthan gum. Xanthan gum is a commonly used thickening agent or stabilizer.
Blend your homemade Sriracha sauce recipe until it’s nice and thick.
After all of these easy steps, your Sriracha sauce is now ready to rock. This versatile hot stuff provides low-cal flavor and can be used on just about anything ranging from noodles and soup to pizza and burgers.
