There's a reason eggnog is a classic traditional drink. This one-of-a-kind all-time favorite is superbly delicious, especially if made fresh.

The only problem with a lot of commercial eggnog is it is either too sweet or pasteurized. If you have never been a fan of eggnog, then this recipe might just be what you need to be able to explore the natural yummy goodness of this holiday drink. And who knows? You might want to drink eggnog even if it’s not holiday.

Homemade Eggnog

Ingredients:

  • 4 egg yolks
  • 2/3 cup sugar, granulated
  • 1 ¼ cup heavy cream

  • 1 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • ¼ cup rum

Procedure:

Step 1.

Use a mixer to beat the eggs together with the sugar. Wait until the mixture volumizes two-fold.
