Best Easy Homemade Spaghetti Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces of celery ribs, finely chopped
  • 1 piece of large-sized green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 piece of large-sized onion, minced
  • 2 and ½ cups of water, in divided doses
  • 1 can of tomato sauce
  • 3 pieces of sausage (any type), sliced
  • 1 can of dried tomatoes, do not drain
  • 3 cans of tomato paste
  • 5 to 6 garlic cloves, finely minced
  • ½ cup of fresh parsley, minced
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 3 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
  • 1/8 teaspoon of pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon of salt

Cooking instructions:

Step 1.

Get a pan and place a cup of water together with the green pepper, onion and celery. Set temperature on high to bring the water into a boil. After boiling, lower heat to medium level. Cook with no cover for ten to twelve minutes. By that time, the vegetable must already be tender.

Step 2.

Place the sausage slices on top of the vegetable mixture. Continue cooking until the pink color of the meat has changed. Add in the tomatoes, tomato sauce and paste, garlic, Italian seasoning, parsley, pepper, sugar, salt and the ½ cup of water.

Step 3.

Again, bring mixture into a boil. Lower heat and allow the mixture to simmer with no cover. Cook for 40-45 minutes. Stir from time to time.

Step 4.

Mix this with a perfectly cooked spaghetti pasta and top off with any type of grated cheese that you want.
