Vegan Recipes For Astronauts That Are Out Of This World!

It’s never too early to start planning for NASA’s mission to Mars in 2030.
And what better way to begin that than by prepping the food recipes that all of the astronauts will have available on their 21-month (1.75 year) roundtrip? What we know is that their meals will all be 100% vegan. Not because they don’t like meat—it’s actually the only sustainable way to eat in outer space for a long period of time. Their vegan diets will consist of fresh fruits, vegetables and live pants, which they’ll be able to grow on the space shuttle. NASA’s Advanced Food Technology (AFT) project has already prepared 100 vegan recipes for when the eventual mission to Mars commences.
Thankfully, you don’t have to be crammed in a small shuttle for years in order to enjoy 100% vegan recipes.
