Grilled Cheese Tacos Are About To Change The Game

grilled cheese tacos

Everybody loves tacos.

Whether they’re filled with juicy chunks of chicken, strips of medium-rare carne asada, shredded carnitas, marinated al pastor or simply just beans and cheese (for all the vegetarians out there), there’s at least one taco out there for you. Hell, they even have tacos made from pizza and chocolate ice cream tacos for those with a sweet tooth.

So it makes sense that one day, someone would create a taco made from a grilled cheese sandwich.

On April 1st, cooking blog The Food in My Beard posted a recipe for a taco made from a folded grilled cheese sandwich, stuffed with taco-seasoned beef, grilled onions, spicy jalapenos, salsa, sour cream and lettuce. Let me tell you though—just because it was posted on April Fools’ Day doesn’t mean this incredible grilled cheese taco is a joke. Check out the amazing recipe below.

Making these grilled cheese tacos are easy! Start by making a couple of grilled cheese sandwiches (or a hundred, I wouldn’t blame you).

Once they’re toasted, fold the sandwiches in half and fill them with whatever you want! The Food in My Beard started by adding some taco-seasoned ground beef (yum).

Finish the grilled cheese tacos by adding your favorite toppings, like salsa, sour cream, more cheese (you can never have enough), lettuce, tomato and more. Stick a skewer in them to keep them folded. How else are you going to take photo for Instagram?!
