Homemade Stuffing from Scratch

Ingredients:

  • 2 links of Italian turkey sausage (all the links should be removed)
  • 3 stalks of chopped celery
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 1 tablespoon of poultry seasoning
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 chopped red bell pepper
  • 2 cloves of minced garlic
  • 8 cups of stale bread (cut the bread into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 cups of chicken stock *or to taste*
  • 1 ½ tablespoons of olive oil

Procedure:

Step 1.

Firstly, line your baking dish with butter. Then, set it aside. Pre-heat your oven to up to 400 degrees.

Step 2.

Put a large skillet under medium high heat and pre-heat the olive oil together with 1 tablespoon of butter. Then, add the sausages. Make sure that you break the sausages apart thoroughly. Cook the sausages for about 2 or 3 minutes.

Afterwards, add all the vegetables and season it with pepper and salt. Add as much as you desire and cook the dish for up to 7 minutes.

Step 4.

Fourth, pour the poultry seasoning over the mixture and cook it for 30 seconds.

Step 5.

In a large bowl, pour the mixture over the bread cubes. Mix the ingredients thoroughly and gradually add the chicken stock. Mix the ingredients again. Once fully mixed, place it on a buttered dish. Top the ingredients with 1 tablespoon of butter and put the mixture in the oven. Bake it for about 30 minutes or until the sausages are golden brown and crispy.

Lastly, serve the sausages and enjoy your meal.
